Kostas Siourthas founded FMT in 2002. Most recently, Kostas was responsible for guiding the development of FMT Octopus™ - revolutionary technology focusing on front-end control of online user experiences for e-business profitability.
Prior to establishing FMT, Kostas held a number sales and management roles with multinational organizations including LogicaCMG and US-based Premiere Technologies, where he pioneered its electronic messaging business and was honored with its Global Sales Leader award. Kostas serves on a number of boards and committees and is a founding member of the Development Board for the Centre for Community Child Health at Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
Bjarne Matzen focuses on developing innovative e-business enhancement solutions that deliver measurable results for clients in a variety of industries worldwide.
In his role, Bjarne liaises with FMT's technology partners, oversees all technology staff and research and determines the future direction of FMT solutions. He has more than two decades' experience in software development and has worked on three continents.
Prior to joining FMT, he co-founded a company that developed products that have since been sold in more than 26 countries. In addition, Bjarne has written numerous "Redbook" manuals for IBM. He also is an award-winning speaker and has served as an industry advisor to Monash University PhD students.
Stuart Mackenzie is responsible for the strategy, development and implementation of FMT strategic alliances and rapid business growth.
Stuart previously managed multiple vendor and partner relationships to drive secure e-business enablement across developed and developing markets as part of GE Money's Global Fraud Management team.
Before that, he served as Remote Channel Fraud Strategy and Policy Manager at Barclays Bank where he pioneered anti-fraud solutions in response to the emergence of phishing and delivered 3D Secure technology to Barclaycard's credit and debit card portfolios. Stuart is a former member of APACS' E-Banking Fraud Liaison Group (the UK's Association for Payment and Clearing Services) and won the 2005 Anti-Fraud Strategy of the Year honor at the UK's Finance Sector Technology Awards.
Edwin van Staden is responsible for the development and roll out of FMT's global solutions. Edwin previously served as Chief Fraud Risk Officer for GE Capital's global banking businesses.
Prior to that, he was CEO of SyntiQ International, implementing a standardized platform for remotely controlled payment applications. He was also Senior Vice President at Interpay Netherlands, member of their MT and responsible for risk management.
Some of his key industry accomplishments are the development and implementation of the world's first real-time artificial intelligence system for card fraud prevention and detection, and rebuilding national credit card transaction processing systems. Having started his career in law enforcement, he has since completed an executive study at INSEAD University in France and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
As a former member of MasterCard's International Security committee for over a decade, he has chaired and participated in numerous private and public committees for security, fraud and risk management.
Sue Hornsby facilitates the flow of information between FMT staff, clients and partners. She oversees the strategic planning, acquisition, maintenance and use of information technology throughout the company as well as monitors the performance of IT programs and activities.
Sue formerly served as a director at Symco, an Australian-based online solutions firm with customers throughout Europe and the UK. Prior to Symco, she worked in a variety of online technology disciplines and systems integration in both technical and managerial capacities.
Tom Hall is responsible for recruiting suitable global partners who underpin FMT's exponential growth. In this role, Tom ensures that FMT's partners are on engagement terms that drive adoption and deliver profits to all parties. In some instances, this involves engaging with Corporate Development and FMT's Board on structuring higher value contracts.
Tom has vast sales and global partner development experience across a number of industries, including banking, manufacturing and technology. For over a decade, he has delivered above target returns for firms in the UK, Asia and Australia.
At Premiere Technologies, where he worked with FMT's CEO, Kostas Siourthas, Tom was responsible for managing a sales team that commercialised the world's then largest email marketing and content personalisation system. Most recently, Tom was responsible for executing a huge sales growth in a manufacturing firm which was successfully sold to 3M.
Tom is equally active when away from work, having recently completed the Melbourne Marathon.
