September 2010: Transactis selects FMT in major technology deal that links online behaviour with offline customer insight

Marketing data firm signs distribution agreement to develop innovative e-commerce solutions using FMT's Application Mediation platform.

Customer insight and database marketing firm Transactis has selected FMT's Application Mediation technology as the basis of a new and custom e-commerce solutions suite that enables both real-time data capture and access to offline data - making it easier to link offline insight to online behaviour and take action in real time.

The technology enables Transactis to develop and deploy this capability for clients without having to make disruptive or intrusive changes to their own e-commerce applications and systems. FMT, the Australian based technology firm, have invented the world's first and only Application Mediation platform -which enables companies to make real-time customer management decisions informed by the whole range of information they have on a consumer.

Applying rich customer insight to make real-time changes to an individual's web journey not only enables more targeted and effective online marketing and customer management. The ability to rapidly configure how real-time changes are deployed in relation to an individual's behaviour and identity is a vital element in reducing exposure to fraud and security risks.

Transactis is currently developing the infrastructure, data assets and supporting technology to enable retailers and other companies delivering products and services over the web to better manage their customers while putting mechanisms in place to maximise returns and mitigate losses.

David Steele, Transactis' Chief Executive, commented: "Increasingly companies are aware that they cannot just put customers in silos - online, mail order, shop floor - but need to realise that the consumer sees the business as a complete entity and interacts with it through different channels. FMT's technology allows companies to have the whole picture of each customer while they interact with the consumer in real time - quickly and easily.

"Engaging with FMT, a recognised leader in innovative technologies in other parts of the world, is indicative of our own commitment at Transactis to innovate and improve our clients' ability to turn customer data into actionable insight. Understanding our clients' emerging needs helps us to find solutions that they can then employ to drive their businesses forward.

"Our aim is to place relevant information at the heart of organisations' decision making to enhance the customer experience, business efficiency and profitability. "

Kostas Siourthas, Chief Executive of FMT added: "FMT is committed to driving a very successful partnership with Transactis. We are excited about the value we can create together for the UK market."
